Wellness at Its Core
Tucked away in the breathtaking Austrian Alps, Schlosshotel Fiss is more than just a luxury getaway. With a focus on wellness, panoramic mountain views, and thoughtful touches for families, it's the kind of place that resets your rhythm and reminds you to slow down. Here's a look at why Schlosshotel Fiss is a perfect summer retreat that balances relaxation, fun, and unforgettable scenery.

Family-Friendly Luxury
Travelling with little ones? Schlosshotel Fiss is wonderfully family-friendly without compromising on sophistication. From play areas and kids' menus to summer activity clubs and thoughtful room layouts, it's clear families are welcome. The hotel manages that rare balance: giving children space to play while ensuring adults still get a sense of calm.

Spanning an impressive 37 metres, the hotel’s indoor-outdoor pool flows seamlessly from the spa area into the surrounding garden, creating a serene link between wellness and nature. Just beyond, the heated outdoor saltwater pool—filled with fresh alpine spring water—offers a truly immersive mountain experience, whether you’re starting your morning with a swim or winding down after a day of adventure.
Those in search of rest and rejuvenation can find calm in the Panorama Whirlpool or retreat to the peaceful Relax Gallery, where stillness and stunning views go hand in hand.
For families, the Splash Water World is a standout highlight. Designed with all ages in mind, it features a 100-square-metre pool for kids and teens, a baby pool, a double-loop tube slide, wave slide, and even a floating play area. Whether it’s their first splash or a fearless dive down the slides, this playful aquatic zone guarantees excitement.
From soothing spa moments to high-energy water fun, the facilities strike a perfect balance between indulgence and family-friendly enjoyment.

The Schlosshotel Fiss Kids Club welcomes children from the age of two and runs a fun-packed programme seven days a week. From pizza-making and dance lessons to creative crafts and mountain treasure hunts, there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained. Older children and teenagers have their own hangout in the Activity Lounge, where they can climb, game, and chill out in their own space. Evenings offer more family time, with an on-site cinema showing English-language screenings at 6pm and German ones at 8pm.
A Postcard at Every Turn
What truly sets Schlosshotel Fiss apart is its setting. Perched above the valley with sweeping views of the surrounding peaks, it’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself pausing mid-hike or mid-bite just to take it all in. Whether you’re exploring alpine trails or sipping coffee on your balcony, the views are unforgettable.

With the Super Summer Card, guests enjoy easy access to a network of cable cars and hiking buses - ideal for relaxed outings, active hikes, or exploring themed trails through the mountains.

Seasonal Dining with Alpine Flavours
Schlosshotel Fiss offers a refined take on traditional alpine cuisine, where quality and creativity go hand in hand. Executive Chef Mathias Seidel and Head Chef Michael Angerer collaborate closely with regional producers to craft seasonal dishes that showcase the best of Tyrolean flavours.

Start the day with a lavish breakfast buffet, refuel with an indulgent afternoon spread, and end on a high with a multi-course dinner. Weekly themed buffets - featuring everything from fresh seafood and decadent desserts to the ever-popular schnitzel night - keep things exciting. There’s even a dedicated children’s buffet every evening, offering familiar favourites for less adventurous palates.

Some of our personal favourites from the adult evening menu included the whole-grilled saddle of beef with a medley of beans, pickled onion and a fragrant tarragon jus, and the house-made wild boar "Chinghiale" pasta, rich and comforting. A stand-out vegetarian dish was the homemade waffle with delicate layers of carrot and chervil. As for the kids, the nightly buffet was a hit -especially the meat and pasta options, and of course, the ever-popular chocolate fountain!

The luxury board includes all meals, but do be aware that drinks—including table water, soft drinks, and coffee—are charged separately and added to your room tab after each meal. Alcoholic beverages are listed on the menu with clear pricing and can be settled at checkout.
Thoughtful Design & Alpine Comfort
The rooms and suites at Schlosshotel Fiss are as impressive as the views. With 135 individually designed options, each room features either a terrace or French balcony. Family-friendly layouts include thoughtful details like pull-out sofas, separate sleeping areas, or dedicated children’s rooms - ensuring privacy and relaxation for all.

Interiors embrace a calming alpine aesthetic, combining natural materials such as wood and stone with soft, modern finishes. Floor-to-ceiling windows draw in the mountain light, while cosy textiles and ambient lighting create the perfect environment to unwind. In our suite, a floor-to-ceiling glass wall between the lounge and bathroom allowed me to keep an eye on the kids while maintaining privacy with closeable drapes.

Whether you're in a romantic double or spacious family suite, the design is elegant yet comfortably unpretentious.

An Adventure for All Seasons
The Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region is a year-round playground for adventure seekers. Winter brings its own magic, with activities like piste-groomer rides, evening tobogganing, and high-adrenaline thrills on the Serfauser Sauser zipline. In the summer months, the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region transforms into an alpine playground. Think panoramic hiking trails, family-friendly adventure parks, mountain biking routes, and themed trails that make exploring the outdoors even more exciting. With sunshine-filled days and fresh mountain air, it's a spectacular setting for making summer memories
Schlosshotel Fiss isn’t just a place to stay - it’s a place to slow down, recharge, and reconnect. Whether you’re soaking up sunrise views over the Alps, unwinding in the spa, or watching your children run free in the Kids Club, every moment here feels thoughtful and elevated. It’s that rare kind of retreat that delivers for both wellness-seekers and families alike, with just the right mix of luxury and laid-back charm. If you're looking for a summer escape that blends mountain magic with five-star ease, Schlosshotel Fiss is more than worth the journey.
