Egerton House Hotel

A beautiful boutique London hotel located on a quiet street in the heart of Knightsbridge.

Egerton House Hotel

The Egerton House Hotel - A five-star London townhouse in Knightsbridge.

What's to love about the Egerton House Hotel?

One of the things that surprised me the most is just how much of a hidden gem it really is. At no point do you feel as though you are in the centre of the hustle and bustle of central London, Harrod's being less than a five minute walk from the front door. It's peaceful, elegant and the staff are the perfect finishing touch, with nothing being too much trouble.

Let me show you what awaits you behind these doors . . .
Breakfast in bed . . . always a highlight for me!

Breakfast in bed is possibly my favourite luxury of a hotel stay. As a Mum of two young boys my mornings are usually anything but slow, and breakfast is usually half a cup of coffee on the way out of the door. So whenever I stay at a hotel I have such high hopes for breakfast in bed . . . and The Egerton did not disappoint!

First of all, a moment for the bed. One of the best nights sleep I had in a while, and the decor was simply elegant. I also couldn't think of a more perfect spot for breakfast in bed!

The Egerton House Hotel has both in room breakfast, and a breakfast dining area, offering Continental and Full Breakfast options. We enjoyed the Crushed Avocado with Poached Eggs, and the Short Stack Pancakes

Attention to detail

The room was full of little details and personal touches - such as the jar of home made shortbread and the Champagne on ice. The bathroom towels and robes had the Egerton 'E' embroidered in gold and the toiletries in the bathroom also had their own pretty jarred finishes.

The perfect start to a stay at The Egerton
There was something very 'Alice in Wonderland' about these . . . they just scream 'eat me'!

A bath!

One thing that always excites me is when a hotel has a bath! I am not a shower person and I actually look forwards to a bath at the end of the day - it's surprising how many modern hotels don't tend to have them these days. There were even candles and I just found it the perfect end to a busy day.

Martini Masterclass

During our stay we experienced the perfect Martini Masterclass, with Bar Manager Sahbi. He begun by telling us all about the history of and origins of the martini, before teaching us his top tips for the perfect martini. We then had the opportunity to taste his incredible creations, curated using home made syrups, and served with some tasty canapés (the cheese on toast was divine!)

The price for the masterclass was £35 pp

Martinis and cheese on toast could be my new favourite dream team!
Afternoon Tea

The Egerton House offers a traditional Afternoon Tea, which you can book as a guest or just as an experience. Whilst we didn't have it on this occasion, we saw someone having it brought to the table in the Drawing Room and it looked delicious - so elegant!

The Afternoon Tea is £75 pp or £94 pp with a glass of champagne

The Local Area

With Harrod's and Harvey Nichols a short walk from the front door you are spoilt for shopping. there are also some lovely bakeries and cafes nearby too. You also have the V&A museum close by, not to mention being incredibly accessible to all of central London.

Pet Friendly

The Egerton House Hotel is incredibly pet friendly and during our stay we saw several well behaved pooches being treated like royalty. They even provide a Doggy Afternoon Tea, including meatloaf, home made dog biscuits and a carrot cupcake!

Doggy Afternoon Tea £30 pp (per pooch!)

The Egerton House Hotel is part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more (Well, possibly one more night! We didn't want to go!) You can find more information on all of the above details over on their website https://egertonhousehotel.com
