The Hotel & Resort
Whilst Cap St Georges looks like a luxury hotel at first glance, it is rapidly becoming a self contained luxury community. With over 200 luxury villas built and sold and more than 200 more in the pipeline, the resort will be the heart of a community for luxury living. Premiership and National football teams come to stay and train at the resort, along with well known names such as Shakira owning the surrounding villas, so you know you are in good company!
The hotel itself boasts stunning panoramic views of the 130 metre beach and its stunning sun sets, with almost all 202 rooms and suites providing a sea view. The hotel also has its own farm so you are surrounded by beautiful gardens and centuries old olive trees, the fruits of which are incorporated into the menus, meaning the most fresh and flavoursome dishes!
I stayed in the Residence Room with Private Pool which was everything I needed and more. Spacious, contemporary Mediterranean elegance, with an infinity pool overlooking the horizon.
My own private pool side by the infinity pool was my favourite place to relax. It's so peaceful, combined with the privacy of your poolside and room service iced latte, life really didn't get much better!
Food & Drink
Where to start! Cap St Georges has an impressive collection of 10 restaurants and bars on site, each with their own unique offerings from Cypriot, Japanese, Italian and even fine dining Michelin experiences at Sky7 Restaurant.
Yeronisos Restaurant
Starting with breakfast at Yeronisos restaurant and the most incredible selection of Mediterranean and International cuisine. I love a savoury breakfast and their halloumi, baked feta, confit tomatoes and grilled asparagus found its way on to my plate each morning. Breakfast is always one of my highlights at a hotel as it's my favourite meal of the day, but one I rarely have time for. This has to be one of my favourite hotel breakfasts yet, the freshness, flavours and sheer choice was incredible.
The three restaurants I spent most of my dining experiences at were Bonsai, Kohili and Sapori
Bonsai
Bonsai, in a nutshell, is contemporary Asian cuisine where your own personal chef will entertain you with a teppanyaki show as he prepares your meal before your eyes. This was my personal favourite evening dining experience as there are just so many enjoyable elements to savour. I had sushi, tempura vegetables and we all had the teppanyaki - it was all just so wonderful.
Kohili Restaurant
A Mediterranean inspired dining experience, with sea views and all the flavours of Cypriot cuisine. The Village Salad is really good for a light lunch, featuring fresh produce the hotel grows on the farms. The grilled halloumi was my foodie highlight of the whole trip - I had it at every opportunity and Kohili served the best halloumi and pitta!
Sapori Restaurant
Sapori, the Italian word for 'flavours', is another of the onsite restaurants, bringing an intimate trattoria experience and some exceptional Italian cuisine. I enjoyed a Limoncello Spritz, made with their homemade limoncello, and the tiramisu was incredible. They assemble it on the table in front of you which just adds to the experience. The Mushroom & Truffle Risotto was delicious also, as was the Aubergines Alla Parmigiana.
Gelato & Patisserie
When you fancy that something sweet, or a refreshing gelato or sorbet, the resort has a beautiful onsite patisserie and gelato cafe. We sampled the Mango and Pistachio flavours and they were absolutely divine on a very hot afternoon!
Other Food Experiences
The Resort also offers other incredible food experiences, such as Michelin chef evenings at Sky7 bar, and experiences where you can see the food being harvested, made or farmed and then enjoy afterwards. I attended the Halloumi & Wine tasting, where I watched the process halloumi goes through before it becomes the Cypriot delight I enjoyed most days during my stay. There is an offering for each season from the olive harvest, to the vineyards, and even the opportunity to catch your own fish and have it prepared by the hotel chef. Food was one of the most enjoyable parts of the stay for me so its so lovely to see so many way to experience it.
The Sunset
Whether you decide to watch the sunset by horseback over at George's Ranch, or on the terrace at the front of the hotel, you will not be disappointed.
The sunsets from the terrace by reception guarantee you Instagram friendly sunset pics every time! We experienced the most stunning hazy sunsets, with flattering light and a sight you will most certainly miss when you leave. We visited in June and the hotel staff told us the last time they saw rain was February!
Cheers to the most perfect stay at Caps St Georges Hotel & Resort Cyprus!
Other Hotel Facilities
The Spa
The hotel has the luxurious Cleopatra Spa, a tranquil haven where you can indulge in bespoke treatments and the ultimate wind down. I had a lovely massage one afternoon, and afterwards you can enjoy some of the facilities the spa has to offer such as the indoor pool, thermal saunas, steam room and aromatherapy showers. It even has a hair spa, nail salon and make up artist to help you feel your absolute best.
Outdoor Cinema
The resort also has an Outdoor Cinema which is located in the courtyard space where the restaurants are located. This is a great distraction for restless kids meaning they are in sight at all times and entertained, leaving the adults to enjoy a leisurely dinner and that extra glass of wine.
Beaches & Pools
The resort offers three outdoor pools, surrounded by lush gardens and Marazzi Piedra tiles, in addition to the indoor spa pool. Meaning you can soak up the suns rays in the comfort of the pool chaise lounge, with attendants on hand should you need a refreshment.
Cap St Georges boasts a 2km stretch of beach with the most panoramic views of the horizon. Sandy and pebbly beaches, with two sun bed zones makes it the perfect spot to relax in the sunshine. The beach entrance is right beside Kohili Restaurant making it the perfect post lunch stroll.
This stay was part of a press trip but all opinions are my own.
